Florals: Gardens

I have painted many gardens over the years. I love painting our own garden full of dahlias and vegetables. Each summer is a thrill to see what comes up and where! Every season is different in the garden. I like to do several plein air studies in the summer for accurate light and color. The large paintings are done in studio during the winter months. Often I go back and forth painting flowers and snow during the winter. This practice keeps summer in my heart all year long.
